FurniHome

Product Uploading

Project Introduction:

FurniHome is a B2C Shopify furniture store selling sofas, beds, dining tables, chairs, and home accessories. The more products the company added, the more challenging it became to organize product information, prepare images, and run its digital campaigns. FurniHome teamed with eComVA to manage the catalog, enhance product display, gain product data consistency, and facilitate ongoing merchandising and digital marketing programs.

About the consumer and its industry:

Furniture e-commerce depends heavily on detailed product information and attractive photos to convert shoppers to buyers. Many listings need to include dimensions, materials, colors, installation instructions, and care guides. Dimensions and packaged weight are important for shipping calculations. If they are incorrect it could result in higher-than-expected fulfillment costs and eroded profit margins. Images from suppliers must also be edited, resized and optimized to be published on the site, which becomes a more laborious task as product catalogues expand.

Problem Statement:

FurniHome had about 1,500 listings of home furnishings such as sofas, beds, dining tables and chairs on Shopify. Keeping track of detailed product specifications, variants, shipping specifications, and supplier images was taking up more and more of its internal resource. Wrong dimensions and package weight could lead to incorrect shipping cost and increased fulfillment costs. Image editing also delayed product onboarding. FurniHome required effective e-commerce assistance to ensure continued, improved data accuracy, improved ease of catalogue management, the opportunity to optimize product images, and to assist them in their continued marketing efforts.

Challenges

  • Product Variant Complexity: Different sizes, materials, colors, and configurations increased the effort required to maintain accurate product attributes.

  • Shipping Data Inaccuracies:Incorrect dimensions or packaged weight could lead to inaccurate shipping calculations and unexpected fulfillment expenses.

  • Catalog Backlog:Approximately 250 product listings required updates to specifications, descriptions, images, or other product information.

  • Supplier Image Quality:Raw supplier images required editing, background cleanup, resizing, and compression before they met the storefront's presentation requirements.

  • Limited Operational Capacity:The internal team struggled to balance recurring catalog updates with merchandising and marketing activities.

  • Digital Marketing Requirements:Product pages, category content, and promotional campaigns needed ongoing SEO, content, and marketing support.

  • Product Image Preparation:Processed raw supplier images through background cleanup, cropping, resizing, and compression, preparing consistent product visuals for Shopify listings.

  • Structured Catalog Processing:Established a recurring workflow targeting approximately 150 product updates per month, covering agreed product-data and content-maintenance activities.

  • SEO and Product Content Optimization: Improved product descriptions, metadata, keyword targeting, and category content to support product discoverability.

  • Content and Marketing Support:Supported furniture buying guides, collection highlights, email campaigns, and social media content to maintain consistent marketing execution.
